Hello everyone!!
I hope you all had a wonderful weekend and are ready to kick this week's butt!
I'd like to tell you all that I am still going strong with this whole no drinking thing and I am so proud of myself! I thought it was going to be such a struggle since everything we do around here in Scottsdale is centered around drinking and when you don't drink, people ask you if it's for a medical reason or what not. I wanted to go out for St. Patrick's day and day drink with people and have fun but I remembered that in order to reach my goals, that will just get in the way.
I was also very proud of myself because on Saturday, instead of going day drinking I ran to the gym, worked out then ran back home which was a bit over 6 miles total. When I got to the gym I thought "holy crap, I definitely over committed myself" but it felt so good since I've been consuming a bit more carbs than I'd like to. It's been so nice here in Arizona lately I've just been wanting to stay outside and be active.
Today, I had a very lazy Sunday and caught up on my sleep, ran errands and laid by the pool and soaked up some sun. It was so nice to just relax and take some time for myself and focus on myself. I've been always on the go and keeping busy that I forget to do that sometimes. You all should take some time out of your day to relax and just do some soul searching and find ways to be happy, it's like a cheap therapy session ;)
Anyway, I must admit it wasn't as eventful as my other weekends but it was a much needed lazy weekend. I hope you have a great week and stay motivated!
Thanks for stopping by and I'll catch you guys later!
Cheers,
J Bae
Sounds like a wonderful weekend to me!! Kudos on running to the gym. I don't think I could handle all that! SO glad cutting alcohol is going better than you thought it would! Keep it up!
ReplyDeletePS I wish I could lay by the pool, but it's 34 degrees and rainy. It has rained the past 2 days straight!!
awwww thanks Amy!! Your moral support means a lot!!
Deleteyeah, it's about to get warmer and warmer from now on so i'm sure i'll be jealous of your weather when the summer rolls around :)
You're welcome!
DeleteI really cannot wait! I spent one summer in Arizona and that was enough for me. But I do prefer the dry heat over the humidity we have here.
